@DavidLively - We'll nickname it B.A.A.R.

1:37 AM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 :)

6 hours later…
7:44 AM
Morning all.

@RoryAlsop good morning. How are you?

1 hour later…
9:15 AM
@Myself - not bad, I have a long weekend in Munich coming up, which is nice, but I've just had to pay for a bunch of repairs for both cars (welds and wheel bearing for my wife's Honda, and a transfer box for my Subaru, so that is less good)
How about you?

4 hours later…
1:28 PM
@RoryAlsop I have a light infection in my eye so full-time screen work is not recommended. So because I am on sick leave and the ambient temperature is fine I am having an iced coffee in my garden with my family

Ooooh that sounds so nice

@Ceshion it is nice, some wind appeared now
@Ceshion how are you?

1:47 PM
Oh, not bad, been working on a client level 2 emergency for the past couple of days though and that's starting to wear on me a bit

2:06 PM
@Ceshion that's not good. how many levels of priority do exist?

2:24 PM
5, with 5 being the lowest
And of course, I have other work to keep up on too so I have to balance all that
@Myself I was up working until 12:30 last night but thankfully it looks like I have only about an hour worth of work left to do

Q: Employer doesn't want to pay me because I took longer than estimated to finish the work

HelloI work as a junior Android programmer in Slovakia. This is my first job and I have been with the company for about 8 months. This month I was working on a feature that was estimated to take about 1 week to develop and I took around 2 weeks to finish it. We do not have deadlines for work, we onl...

and also thankfully I'm at a lull right now because the client is using their machine, so I can't run anything

It always shocks me how many people show up on workplace with something like this. How is is that you need to ask the internet? How does something like this not imediatly set off a thousand alarm bells in your head

2 hours later…
4:09 PM
@Zshoulders I'm pretty sure that in this instance alarm bells went off in their head. They're looking for advice on how to proceed
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the OP is conveniently leaving out important bits of information like "I come in late and leave early" or something to that effect

3 hours later…
6:46 PM
you know that wonderful feeling when one of your partners asks you a question about engine theory and you get to explain it to them in detail?
that is a great feeling

7:39 PM
@Ceshion No, I don't know that feeling, but I one day hope to experience it.
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 I drained the oil, and it looks, smells and tastes like $30 worth of Mobil 1. Drained the coolant, and got a bit less than two gallons out. (Manual says 8.7 quarts, so not too far off.) But the BAAR adds a gallon. SO, I picked up some more oil and three jugs of 50/50 Dex-Cool at lunch, will try refilling it and this time be sure to note how much goes in. I still suspect an air pocket is the issue, though, with the AirLift, I don't see how that's possible.
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 My dad suggested putting in some stop leak, also. I've read that GM puts this stuff in at the factory. I couldn't find the pellets or the aluminum powder, got the copper stuff instead. Hopefully that won't cause some weird issue with the aluminum components in the system. Namely, the block, head and radiator.
@Zaid even if that were the case, the employer has the option to fire him, but not to withhold pay. I worked on a small team - 4 people - before, and the company handled bonuses by grading every employee on a 1-3 scale, within their team. 1 = 150% of target bonus, 3 = nothing. The problem is that they forced each team to a normal distribution. So, as I found out after six months at the company, the team members would actively avoid helping each other, because no one wanted to be the 3.
@Zaid That one cost me about $15k.

1 hour later…
8:57 PM
@DavidLively - If you have the funds, I would highly suggest you look at some Evan's Waterless coolant.

9:32 PM
@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 I've never heard of it. What does it claim to do? :)
