Prof's disdain for carbocations characterized in one reply to a student
"I want to be honest with you. Once I saw the carbocation I freaked, spun around in a 360 and started typing. Try again without the carbocation. You may have everything else correct (I don't know) but when I see such things it makes my skin bump up, blood boil, and I have a difficult time controlling my bowels. Bottom line: not a good score for you. Try again and I will be waiting.............."

@Dissenter I cannot find any words for this... this is just wrong on so many levels. Maybe you want to ask him/her if he/she believes that the earth is round.... You better second guess anything that person says...

Damn, that smackdown.
I think he's pretty good; I still don't understand what this hate on C+ is for ... as someone said ... C+ isn't necessarily explode-in-your-face reactive
And often times C+ will be contributing resonance structures ....... okay, they might be minor ... but ...
