@Oddthinking This is more an implied claim, which we have problems with sometimes. But I think a question simply asking if the Great Barrier Reef is as healthy as 50 years ago should work.

@MadScientist Is that a strawman? What if the reef is unhealthy, but looks fine.
(That's even assuming we can agree what "healthy" means.)

The tweet is a problematic source as he's implying that the environmental concern is exaggerated, but not actually stating it. But the reverse claim that the reef has deteriorated is probably notable anyway
