I'll delete the ones that I think are unnecessary now

@Sklivvz okay I ended up deleting all of my comments

I honestly thought that my last few asking for George to provide a reference was a suggestion for improvement and an appropriate use of a comment

What is the right way to ask for a specific sentence to be referenced?

I don't understand how you see a "pattern" of behaviour in my comments :( I thought I was very selective

I know they're all deleted now, so it is hard to see, but I really think I left fewer than 20 comments ever.

and I've read the help centre, all meta posts, and the privileges guide to comments

One comment is fine. In the last case maybe a direct edit would have been better.

A direct edit would have stripped the answer of its conclusion... So I thought that might be too drastic but sure, in some situations I'll look to edit
