@JoelDeWitt I guess I'm confused. It feels like you are trying to argue against my comments abuot doing a PhD "just because" or without a clear prospect for how it relates to your future work being a waste of time, but then you yourself indicate you did a PhD and then don't put it on job applications. I'm not really sure what you are getting at - it sounds like you agree completely and 100% with what I'm saying, but it feels like you are arguing against my answer. Your PhD work is apparently not valuable enough for your career that you leave 3-5 years of your career off your resume... ??? — enderland ♦ 1 min ago
