Is it just me, or is there an every growing number of questions that follow the pattern "Something at work is making me uncomfortable, but I am too intimidated to speak directly to the other person. How can I make this about a broader social issue, so I can force HR to be involved and not have to personally face conflict?"

@LegoStormtroopr imo a large percentage of questions here ultimately are answered by, "talk with your boss" or "talk with your coworker"

It's my first question here, seems to be on-topic and well received by the community in terms of upvotes. Looks like it p1ssed off a lot of guys though, some of the comments from users were quite mean or insulting (yours included).

fortunately enderland removed a torrent of crap underneath the post :)

btw, I have no problem with confrontation. But sometimes confrontation is not the best course of action
