Hey all. One of the questions on this week's review list got a pretty significant edit as a result; please take a look and cast reopen votes if you think it warrants it.
Matt, thanks for starting a discussion of this one! The post has now received a pretty major edit and has some reopen votes, so I encourage anybody reading this to take another look. @ReallyTiredOfThisGame, thank you for that above-and-beyond edit! — Monica Cellio ♦ 4 mins ago

Any idea why I can't seem to register for an account on Workplace Meta? Entered the data, it was accepted, can't sign in.
BTW, since I can't post it there: My solution to the "releaving letter" frequency was to add "india" to my list of blocked tags. Bingo, those are greyed out and easy to skip over. (I've done the same for a number of other topics I don't have a useful opinion on.)
@MonicaCellio: We (virtually) know each other from past network presence, right?

@keshlam What is the error you get?

@keshlam hmm. You have a meta profile. You can't log in there but are logged in on main?
@keshlam glad you found something that works for you!
@keshlam we do? Entirely possible, but I'm being dim at the moment, apparently. Willing to share a hint?

@MonicaCellio: IBM fora. Or I'm confusing you with someone else.

And yes, I'm logged in on the main discussion but nothing I've tried will make meta admit I'm logged in.

@keshlam I used to work for IBM (a while back), so maybe that. I'm not currently active on IBM fora. But there may well still be stuff floating around with my name on it; weirder things have happened. :-)

@jmac: No error. Enter login info, wind up back at same screen still not logged in. Same behavior no matter whether I try to log in from the top bar or from the "you must log in to comment" link. It no like me.

On the meta thing, are you using HTTPS Everywhere? The metas are sometimes, err, broken with HTTPS; this has come up on MSE.

@MonicaCellio: OK, same person then. And yes, HTTPS Everywhere... Sigh. OK, now I know. I'm not going to ask why the problem exists only for meta, for fear of being asked to help fix it. :-P
@MonicaCellio: You may have known me as JKESS.

@keshlam it has to do with the cert URLs. Apparently they can handle .stackexchange.com, but not meta..stackexchange.com -- and I guess ..... doesn't do the trick or maybe you can't do that with certs. If you search for "HTTPS Everywhere" on MSE that should turn up some stuff about it.

Ah. Tnx for background.

@keshlam oh! Hi!

Q: Will making a slight change in job title affect my career

user3004356I was working in a company where the product was called "Spark". So my designation was "Spark Network Support". I was working as Network Support for this project. This is my previous employer. As I was not getting calls based on this job title, I changed this title to "Network Support Engineer". ...

jmort2535 How widespread is the usage of employee monitoring software? The original post was speculative and overly broad. However, the post has been edited and is a bit more fitting for Q&A format. This post does still seem a little broad, but the answers fit the goals of our site, which is to teach, n...

Q: How widespread is the usage of employee monitoring software?

Naga RThere has been recent talk at my company about software being used to monitor employee's activities on their work computers. How would I be able to find out if my company uses this type of software? How should I adjust my behavior when using work computers if I know I am being monitored?

@jmort253 If you are willing to delete the answers then I think I could edit the question and save it. But there are 3 answers there that are not incorrect but do not belong here and make saving the question unpalatable to me.

@Chad What do you think is missing from the other answers? Is it the "how should I adjust my behavior" part?
On one of the last posts we did this on, we left comments giving the answers a heads up that the question may change and require updated answers.
For me, the big criteria in terms of deleting the answers is whether or not we'd delete the question if no one were to edit it. I don't think we're against the idea though, if that's what it takes to keep the question.
