@MattGiltaji Yeah I remember something about that. Ok, I will do that.

@IanHolstead I have 40% accepted, but only 10 questions

@MattGiltaji Thats not bad! Mine has dropped now that I answered another question.

@IanHolstead when we have so few questions answered, a new one will cause our percentages to fluctuate wildy

@MattGiltaji Yup. I should have just poured all my effort into writing the best answer ever and called it quits there.

lol
then @enderland sits atop the mighty smiley and declares that only users with > 50 answers shall be counted
and your 100% goes :(

12:06 AM
@MattGiltaji dang it. hmm I guess I will have to think of a new strategy...

Solution: hire John Skeet

i think on some of mine, i am the highest answer but the OP forgot/didn't understand to click the "accept" button

@MattGiltaji yeah, that seems to happen a lot...
We even offer totally legitimate fake internet points, what more do the people want?

@IanHolstead no rep haters allowed
after I amass 20k rep, I will have the ultimate power in the universe
and will be able to DELETE answers (of poor quality) by my will ALONE (with a few other users in agreement)

12:14 AM
@MattGiltaji haha. I think what we really need is any user who has exactly 42k rep should have the true ultimate power
with the power to make help vampires and serial downvoters repent there ways with the mere click of a button.
(sort of related, I can only imagine how much of a mess it would be if there was a special privilege at a certain rep, there would just be torrents of downvoting and floods of bad questions from that user trying to keep their rep down)

@IanHolstead lol

12:55 AM
you guys needs 20k rep so together we can delete bad answers

1:45 AM
@enderland when Chad gets back from suspension (4 days to go), he will be well over 20K. My life as answer flagger at Programmers completely changed when we've got two active trusted users at the site voting to delete crappy answers. Think of it, mods deletions over delete votes of 20Kers don't look like "unilateral tyranny" anymore...
...And, conversely, when review queue items clearly show delete votes from 20Kers, mods tend to do less flag declines on these, as these now carry a burden to be able to explain how their decision went against judgement of trusted user(s). That's as close to answer flagger's paradise as it gets
heck you yourself can walk over your past declined flags on garbage answers and cast delete votes on these - mods just can't do anything to stop you from doing this (I wouldn't be surprised if they will happily pile their binding votes over yours)

2:25 AM
@MattGiltaji it's funny, I just had someone accept one of my answers like this from a while ago :)

2:36 AM
@enderland for example, this answer keeps trickling in rep (about 10 per day)

A: How to bring up a bad GPA in a interview

Matt GiltajiYou can always try: I don't feel that my undergrad GPA accurately reflected my abilities, and here's how I fixed that in my graduate studies... Everyone makes mistakes, the important thing is to acknowledge that it happened and explain how you fixed it going forward. You will eventually mak...

but no accept :(
that said, its at the top of page 3 on a google search for "bad GPA interview"

Q: How do I handle a rude coworker?

JaneinTexasI am a manager with several direct reports. My manager also manages another team. One of his direct reports is continually rude to me in front of other employees. We have a work from home policy, and when I am in the office he makes comments like "Jane Sighting, everyone we have a Jane sighting ...

There's three answers here, including from me. But I'm kinda wondering if maybe we aren't missing something here....
The asker is female, and her rude coworker is male.... she hasn't come out and brought up diversity at all, but I could see it being tougher to be assertive and stand up for oneself if there's a culture where that sort of thing is acceptable....
I was thinking of updating my answer based on what I read here today: juliepagano.tumblr.com/post/40445765256/…
But honestly I'm not sure I'm qualified.
Not saying this is an issue because of her gender, but I'm kinda wondering if someone with more experience in this area might weight in to give a better answer?

sort of relevant, the white knapsack of privilege (pdf)
its primarily about race, but I feel easily translates to gender

I read an article by Peggy McIntosh about "No such thing as an unmarked woman" I think I posted it as a comment to one those developer attire for women questions.

Q: Is it correct to say “remarkable culinary skills” in a résumé?

user280902I’m writing a résumé for someone and under skills I’d like to say that they have excellent skills at baking, cooking, and other kitchen-oriented things. Not sure if I’m phrasing it right, but I want to say that they are excellent at baking and cooking with their own company.

Why was this question migrated here?

5:53 PM
@enderland its about resumes...?

@MattGiltaji It's asking for wording
in English Language & Usage, 2 mins ago, by Andrew Leach
@enderland It's off-topic here because we don't do writing advice. It's not asking for synonyms or anything. Workplace mods were consulted and accepted it as on-topic there following suggestions from the community here. The question concerns how best to big up a particular set of skills and how that should appear on a CV.

Q: What should we do about the "reduced offer" question?

Monica CellioReducing the salary after job offer? is getting a lot of attention, probably because it started out as a "bad stuff happened to me - is this ethical?" question, which is a magnet for opinions and anecdotes. It is currently +58/-2. I have edited the question to focus more on the "why would they ...
