Q: Why isn't the Pope being translated?

@Gallifreyan, given I am not motivated to go back to previous seasons, in a short manner why is the Doctor Currently tasked with not leaving earth and guarding "The Door". I assume the Master is on the other side.

@EnigmaMaitreya Previous seasons do not contain any answer; it's one of Moffat's Patented Artificially Mysterious Season Arcs. The most recent episode reveals some of the "mystery."
