I am looking for a tool that runs via command line.
sort of like
xprop
xdotool
it simply needs to allow me to draw a rectangle on the screen.
and tell me the measurements of it.
I have tested out: "import" module by "imagemagick"..
but perhaps there is something much lighter out there ?
...
a tool like:
xprop
wmctrl
xdotool
but it needs to permit me to draw a shape on the screen.
then it should tell me the dimensions + the x-y coordinates
is there such tool ?
a file w/ file name: 1
a file w/ file name: abcdefghijklmnoqprxyz
wouldn't the file w/ file name 1
be alot faster when called by the system ?

what would be the next best file name to choose..
after the files 0-9 ?
@Gilles At least in the linked PDF, it looks like they might give GitHub rights beyond what (e.g.,) GPL give.
I don't think there was any evil intended... but if that's the case, it's a problem if I use anyone else's code in mine (because I can't grant those permissions when I'm not the copyright holder)
