For the next upcoming "Playstore errors", I've just linked the XDA thread on Google Play errors Explained to our tag-wiki, so it can easily be found.

cool
I used those errors as an example in my blog about error messages

Cool, need to read that. Will soon setup something similar (blog-article) on "Do the apps really need all those permissions they request?" You won't believe what kind of permissions some apps request (uses: ...permission.NETWORK is just an "easy" example).
They request GROUPS as permissions, have massive spelling errors in (ACCESS_COURSE_LOCATION), request permissions which do not exist (but are mistakes in the API docs existing as such for years without being fixed), and more.
Funny thing is: All those declarations do is throwing an error message on install.
So if they really needed something, from that they'd never get it...
LOL Yeah, good observation and absolutely fitting the context ("unknown error 919")

it really winds me up sometimes

@DanHulme Great article, really enjoyed reading it! If it weren't too long for it, I'd print it out to tack it on our blackboard.
I love our very specific "error 1001" we get from time to time – which can be anything from wrong intput to a crashed database. If you know that, you know it means "whatever error occured, you can find details in the logs located in..." – but it doesn't say so. So whoever encounters the "famous 1001" always ends up at the wrong place to report it – unless already familiar with it...
