What is the necessity to download all the sub-files in the SDK manager for Android
Other then the SDK Platform what are the uses of the remaining files like documentation, sample files, System image, google API's

@user285oo6 the documentation is API documentation for programmers; the sample files are source for example apps to show you how to use parts of the API; the system image is for the emulator; google API's is an extra library for the SDK for writing apps that use Google Play Services etc.

@Dan how is an app determined as a top developer app .Is it based on the number of downloads, or something more or less
like for apps related to Google like Google play music is given a top developer

whereas there are other apps like the MX player which is way ahead in terms of functionality and speed.
I thought that as it's a Google brand so by default it's a Top developer app.
