Please be aware, though, that "shopping" questions about recommendations for specific programs and such are off topic on this site.

@jakebeal Yeah, I figured as much. I am mostly interested in the expected responsibilities of a PhD compared to a non-PhD. I'll see if I can find some help on the site.
