@El'endiaStarman We are looking at the cholesky decomposition process of a matrix that approxmates the laplace operator on a square grid. The top left shows the graph represented by the matrix in the top middle, and the bottom shows the cholesky factor. The idea is choosing a nice elimination order of the nodes, for avoidiong excessive fill in in the cholesky factor.

On the right side you just see the same matrices again but just permuted, such that the nodes are again in lexicographical order.
