@RoryAlsop any good way to block spammers from a salesforce form - they do all the validating, I've added recaptcha and hidden the oid. Still getting rediculous number of people signing up to multiple sites. Pain in the arse.

@Aravona once the email is out there, spammers will sell it on to other spammers, so the first step is to change the email.

And they go through the effort of the captcha etc ? Wow. Next step then is to actually automate review of content. There are libraries to do this (along the lines of how charcoal works here)

Ahh ok, so the next step would be an interim between the form and salesforce to basically decide if it's a genuine lead?

I'm wondering if it's actually a person spamming, I mean, people do - people are paid to, though it's stupid.

or add a captcha

we had good results from the honeypot on my old web site, we didn't want to add a captcha because we didn't want to loose leads

the trick is to not let them know they've triggered the honeypoit but to make them think it's worked

@Liam yeah we've put a recaptcha on some, ant it looks like it may have deterred some of the spam but we'll see, apparently with SalesForces there is an ID you pass in the form and if you get the ID then you can actually spam SalesForce without even using a form... brilliant coding their end huh?

Btw Google is doing an invisible recaptcha - but it's not out yet.
