@OddDeer In regards to augmented reality, Pokemon Go did not die soon enough. The were hordes of people stumbling around at 11 at night glued to their cellphones.

@CharlieBrumbaugh Yeah, but I dare you to underestimate the technology just because they've made this ridiculous game. We're currently working with/on software to enable a storekeeper to see which package he needs to pick or which slot he has to choose. He just wears Google glasses and the right slot/package is green illuminated.
For exampel

Apparently, the programme I joined on an organised hiking vacation with in 2007 no longer exists. They did organised treks for 15-25 year-olds in The Netherlands. Not enough people interested. I find it quite remarkable how impopular hiking is with Dutch youths in this age range (and when I first moved out of The Netherlands, was surprised to learn about the existence of student hiking clubs at universities).
I'm no longer a youth but I wonder if any still exist in The Netherlands (the first time I signed up with one of their treks, in the Alps, it ended up being cancelled because less than 5 people had signed up).
I learned it now because they're contacting all their former participants to advertise those outdoor programmes that still survive.

@gerrit Seems a pity
UK has things like the Duke Of Edinburgh Award scheme for this kind of thing
It's pushed by schools (or it used to be anyway!)

Yes.
You do meet Dutch youths in the Alps, but almost exclusively for mountaineering. Hiking has an image of being boring.
