Hi.
I think it's a good idea, which is why I tried to do it twice, but I stopped posting on SE on principle after the last round of abject disregard from the SE community team.

@Christiaan This would then be closed as 'unclear what you are asking' and not 'pob', would it?
I voted to close for pob - recover from a state of zero or random activity is ill-defined. If you could focus, e.g., on brain-dead subjects, the question would be scientifically (medically) better founded. — Christiaan 15 hours ago

@ChristianHummeluhr - Do I understand correctly you are basically off SE, or at least left CogSci? One way or another - please have a look at this meta post. I was hoping to bring together a bunch of active users here, reach a critical mass of, say 5 users that are willing to, well, shoot to kill :)
Including me and the two responsive mods the tally is at 4 :-) I was one of your [silent] supporters previously. Bringing this out in the open might yield a more effective effort.

@StevenJeuris I generally say pob from the answer perspective, because ill-defined questions often generate a wide variety of answers that never get accepted because OP returns the answer with yes, but.... In this case, the Q in itself is not unclear, but based on ill-defined suppositions that have no reflection in the 'real world'.

Anyone here to aid the graduation? - cry for help :)

@Christiaan Hmm, in that case it would be 'too broad'. :) I reserve 'pob' really for questions that can not be objectively answered (possibly yet).
That really elicit 'what do you think?' responses.

@StevenJeuris makes sense, I can change my strategy accordingly.
@StevenJeuris do you know what ChristianHummeluhr was saying about his stopping from posting? His lack of activity made me think he quit totally. Just worried we might have lost an active member.
It's just that CogSci seems to resign in staying as it was - beta. It's strange - in the Netherlands Psychology is a better attended (i.e., bigger) university study in terms of #students (at least when I studied at the Radboud uni in Nijmegen) than Bio. Still that site is graduated.
I can't type any longer - time to call it a day.
Zzzzzzz

@Christiaan He was really motivated to move the site ahead, in particular finally pushing through the name change we've been asking for for ages. However, the community team of SE was totally irresponsive to it.
@Christiaan Hard to tell where the difference lies really. But I wouldn't worry about the beta status too much. As long as the state of the site does not deteriorate I'm quite confident we'll make it to graduation at some point in time.
The question though is in case we receive more questions per day (so all stats are bumped to 'okay') whether we have a big enough community to answer them. :/
