@Silvia Hi :)

@Kuba Hi! Long time no see! :D

@Silvia Yeah, I was quite busy lately. I hope I can stabilize to visit SE more often :)
@halirutan can't sleep?

@Kuba Oh sorry, I meant I haven't been active on the site for a long time O_O

@Silvia well, me too ;)

3:16 AM
How do I get more digits of output in general?
`\!\(
TagBox[
RowBox[{
SubsuperscriptBox["\[Integral]", "1", "2"],
RowBox[{
FractionBox[
RowBox[{
SuperscriptBox["x", "2"], "+", "x", "+", "1"}],
SuperscriptBox["x", "2"]],
RowBox[{"\[DifferentialD]", "x"}]}]}],
HoldForm]\)`

`%//N`

Gives me $2.19315$, which is certainly an approximation.

3:34 AM
@Rojo Hi! How are you!

@Silvia :) long time
I'm ok. Tough months but all good. Its midnight, just came back from a wonderful dinner
What's up with you?

Does noone know how to make output longer, I want more decimal places
Don't worry guys, the Maths stack exchange knew the answer. N['function','number of decimals']

@Committingtoachallenge There are some questions around about that
All machine precision numbers have about 15 digits
even thought they show automatically less
You can easily see them all by showing the cell expression, using NumberForm, or changing the cell option hummmmmm

@Committingtoachallenge It's just displaying. Have a close look at the documentation for N: reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/ref/N.html

The option PrintPrecision

@Rojo Am having a tough week too! (waiting for a job offer @_@)

@Silvia What about :)

@Rojo Hehe it's a pure MMA work, in Beijing. I can't think of any better job for me :)
2

@Silvia Nice. So those jobs exist outisde of Wolfram :P

The company is looking for a team to develop a customized FrontEnd/UI using MMA as kernel.
@Rojo Yes they do! -- I'm surprised :P

@Silvia I'm sure you'll get it

3:52 AM
@Rojo Thanks! Though they seem to also consider hiring an expert from WRI.
Anyway, it's job I think I will like :)

@belisarius He should send his Comic Sans CV csjn.gov.ar/data/cv_zaffaroni.pdf to xkcd :)

On the RPi, $CloudCreditsAvailable returns an error despite a successful connection as evidenced by CloudEvaluate[2+2] returning 4. Additionally, I can see my credits have decreased if I log in to programming.wolframcloud.com. Can someone check this behavior on desktop computer?

3:39 PM
@bobthechemist Just outsource your HPC needs through RPi!

@kirma That's exactly the point! There's a fair amount of overhead, though, and I'm trying to figure out when it's beneficial to send stuff to the cloud instead of the RPi

:)

@Silvia welcome back!

6:10 PM
There's no .m on the File->New menu options
yet init.wl don't seem to work properly for me. Nice

7:05 PM
@bobthechemist Re testing it on a desktop computer, on my computer it returns "No CloudObject found at the given address." I too can use CloudEvaluate however.

So I just unlocked the Suggested Edits funcitonality, and I already see one curious case. User @mycarta has apparently just created his account to comment on this answer: 64514 (I don't know how to link to the suggested edit directly)
I assume he wanted to write a comment but does not have enough reputation to do it, so he edited the answer and appended his comment at the bottom. What can be done in such cases?

@Pickett Looks like a bug has been introduced recently, as this problem didn't appear earlier. Thanks for checking.
