i'm considering canceling my oldest credit card because my score is nearly 800 and the only reason i've kept the old card open is for a better score, i literally have not used it in years. i'm starting to consider it a liability since my score is fine and i don't even intend to use credit for anything (i am very debt-averse, to the point of committing to never own anything i can't pay cash up front for). is there any other reason i might consider keeping this old unused credit card open?
