TomRSome people have this problem that they cannot think without words. And writing down their thoughts and decisions is the most effective way to proceed. So - is it normal and acceptable that I write down my thoughts and decisions in some Notepad++ file during coding? Sometimes it should be acce...

Q: "register" keyword in C?

Nick Van BruntWhat does the register keyword do in C language? I have read that it is used for optimizing but is not clearly defined in any standard. Is it still relevant and if so, when would you use it?

@RobertHarvey I guess that either this is "directly related to SDLC" or close voters are really anemic lately. Not surprising that this is in HNQ and tells the world loud and clear, "this site is about roses"

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is a homework question, but it does not include the required summary of the work done so far to solve the problem, nor a description of the difficulty encountered in solving it. This isn't the kind of question we want here. High votes, bikeshedding, has nothing to do with software development. Probably belongs on The Workplace, if anywhere.

@RobertHarvey it is possible that asker wanted to poll about what is the best way / tool to take notes and simply twisted their question to avoid immediate close. If this is the case, you see, the trick worked

This q. is better suited for programmers.stackexchange.com. I would read the file in large blocks (4MB+) from the beginning and the end, reverse them in memory and write back. — RustyX 32 secs ago
