@JacobVlijm @Seth @Oli I've been thinking here : there's couple of questions that ask for changing launcher position, but some of them ask left, some of them ask right. Can't we just make one generic question and answer ?
I can’t get used to the new Unity system. I’d like to move the left Unity panel to the bottom of screen (like Windows 7 – more similar is better).
But I can't find a way. Is it possible?
@SEth the top one still asks about moving panel to the bottom, and the second one is specific to moving launcher to the bottom in 16.04. I'm talking about just generic "How do I move launcher? " regardless of where

@AaronHall Try to convince him to switch to Mac or Linux . Windows spyware is just so annoying. Older generation has no clue about spyware , they just want it gotten off the computer , and to us techies - it's a pain in ze butt doing it over and over

besides I usually have two things terminal and firefox. Why would i want a third window open for editing text files, when i can do that in vim in terminal ?

I followed a guide from tuxfamily to install it.
Unfortanely, when I start the system, I got a window with the following error:
A critical error occurred:
L2tpIPsecVpnControlDaemon is not started
Any throughts how to fix it?
The good news is that a fix for this annoying issue is, mercifully, on the way. A patched version of the gnome-software app should arrive through the usual Ubuntu update channels in the next few days.
It fixes side loading of local .debs and several other known issues:
Support apt://urls
Increase number of reviews shown from 10 to 30
Show version and size information for non-installed apps
Enable the Snappy backend
