@MrLore Seems like a decent film, like most of the things Mr. Whedon does. Which is exactly why I want him to stop making summer blockbusters and truly excel elsewhere. A big pulsing brain is a terrible thing to waste, especially since Michael Bay's got none whatsoever and manages to make billions off these things anyway.

@Walt There's something wrong with the TV industry, he can never seem to stay on the air for long regardless of how much critics like his work

Saw the penultimate Boardwalk Empire ep BTW and wondering how it's going to end. It probably won't be pretty, though they're running out of characters to kill

Yeah, most people are predicting that they'll kill Nucky but I'm still not sure because he's a real historical character and that's not how it ended, unless they do another massive timeskip

Yeah, Hitler wasn't shot in a theater either

But they're clearly building to a fight with Lucky and giving up Gillian to the commodore, the latter story I'm not so fond of because I feel like I knew all this from Gillian telling Jimmy in season 2

Yeah I know they met and he was all grovelly, but I don't think either of them was being honest

Lucky won't let Nucky live, and Nucky isn't going to run away

If this season is about regret (through the flashbacks), he might quit

I'm hoping they're going to tie everything together somehow, Dr. Narcisses & Chalky, Nucky & Margaret and Gillian in the asylum are all going to go Ocean's Eleven and kill these New Yorker scum together

Because otherwise, the theme of the season will be 'disjointed' to me, the stories are barely interacting at this point

Apart from Eli going from Van Alden to Nucky I guess

I don't find the rating numbers themselves massively useful because most people are idiots and only vote 1 or 10, but looking how close the episode ratings are to each other usually give you a good indication how consistent the show is

Finale was the only Dexter episode I graded on IMDb. You can probably guess the grade (which fits your theory).
