Q: dying girl want to wear antique Victorian dress - 1950s production?

Bryan WIt might have only been a small part of the plot- a dying girl wants to wear an antique dress that an older woman wore when being presented to the Queen (? Queen Victoria ?)- the dress is kept in a glass case. The older woman seems very harsh to the young girl...seems like a strict, cold b*tch, d...

Q: Silver Linings Playbook: why the bin bag?

Gayot FowThe hero of this film, Pat, was seen wearing a bin bag (or garbage bag depending upon your locale) what had holes cut for his head and arms... Both his mother and father asked why he was wearing a bin bag, but this was never resolved. I don't know the reason for it. I suppose it provides pro...

Q: Explanation of the ending of Easy Rider

AnkitThis is regarding the 1969 classic Easy Rider. I found the ending was abrupt and very quick. Although throughout the movie it has been shown how society dislikes and avoids hippies like Wyatt & Billy, the end seemed unusual. Wasn't the shooting of both riders by some random truck drivers, a bit o...

Q: What was the purpose behind the metal object Forest Whitaker rubbed on Jake Gyllenhaal's face in Southpaw?

ThisClarkIn Southpaw, Forest Whitaker rubs a metal object on Jake Gyllenhaal's cheek to do some sort of first aid I presume. I think it could be metal chilled in iced water to reduce blood flow. Is that correct? Or, what was it really? This action also included cotton swaps (or strips) and applied pressur...

Q: Eva / Ava AI movies coincidence?

Kyle JonesIf you've seen Ex Machina, The Machine and Eva you've probably noticed the odd coincidence of three movies in the last few years about artificial intelligence all with protagonists named Eva or Ava (always pronounced AY-vah). But was it a coincidence? Are these movies connected somehow out-of-u...

Q: What's the closest real equivalent to E Corp from Mr. Robot?

JohnWhat's the closest real equivalent to E Corp from Mr. Robot? Not necessarily that they're super evil, but that they are present in many different industries and their products are commonplace. My initial guess would be Samsung. Does anyone else beat it or come close?

Q: How to unflag a comment

Chelsea OwenI flagged a comment before doing any research on the answer - I feel bad because the user is highly ranked on the website? This was on the Movies and TV category. How do I unflag the comment?

@MovieReel Not really. There is one major crossover character I've run into but that's it. I watched the first season of Wonderland but haven't watched subsequent ones... and I've not had any issues. Will has his own personality in the Enchanted Forest that relates to Robin Hood but that doesn't seem to relate to Wonderland.

Q: Looking for a UK TV program mid 1970s - late 1980s about children from city visiting the coat

Mr MorganI'm looking for a TV program shown in the UK and produced by the BBC or then ITV (or one of its subsidiaries) concerning a trip to the coast by a group of inner city school children. All I can remember is that towards the end of the program a missing student, a girl of perhaps 14 years old at mo...
