How are you doing, did the spring reach your mountain?

It did. Then we lost it.

On the plus side- it looks like it's going to be a wet year.

That's always welcome in the desert.

How are Austin and Germany this morning?

Germany also had a cold spell after a week of short skirt weather before Easter. Still rather cool, but slowly getting better, at least here in Heidelberg. I heard they had to shovel snow on Easter Monday in Munich.

and there is still a sea of flowers and tree blossoms everywhere (magnolias are long through, though)

@Catija Nothing to be sorry for. You are getting to the end of the pleasant season in Austin.

Feb to May was my favorite time there.

I signed my rent contract yesterday and used the occasion to take a few pictures from area which didn't seem too personal for the current tennant

@Sobachatina I overlooked a lot of my "must haves" just because of the location (view + forest nearby)

still slightly agonizing over the decision, in fact. But I think it will turn out OK in the end. I simply need the right furniture to be able to stash all the stuff I have.

My little brother moved nearby recently and bought my son a fishing pole.

So now I have to learn how to fish and find out where to go so I'm not a bad father. :/

I don't mind that much- it seems interesting- I just haven't fished since I was a kid.

You don't have to live up to all stereotypes you come across to be a good father!

I wish he liked programming in a dark room, alone. That would be quality bonding time.

I found out there's a city park with a small lake that is stocked a couple miles from our house. I'll take him if it ever stops raining.
