12:57 AM
Hi!

1:55 AM
HI!
So now that the fair is over, what do you DO with a 125lb cabbage?
Somebody mentioned a big cabbage on main, so I did some Googling.
The pumpkins are even more impressive:

It's so sad how they're all squished under their weight :(

Last year (or the year before) the biggest was 1400lbs, but it was disqualified because of a hole.

Oh man cause then they could stick heavy stuff inside!!

The cabbage and pumpkin weigh off is a big deal (lol) around here. :)
This one could make a pretty good jack-o-lantern.
Or Cinderella's carriage.
My landlord brought me a 5 foot long zucchini once. Gee, thanks.

2:09 AM
HA! :)
total non sequitur alert:

oh noooooooo

I hope Dad has one of those those really poofy chef's hats :)

Have you seen that video with the kid and the lobsters?

Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...Can I touch it? No...

hahah yes

2:18 AM
Kids kill me :)
You got me a cute kids YouTube vortex! AARRGGHHHH! I. Will. Not. Click. On. The. Kitten!

2:42 AM
@Jefromi Awww.
I normally don't like kids, but this is cute!

4 hours later…
6:36 AM
Downton Abbey is over until 2016!
That was a very good season.

1 hour later…
8:05 AM
Now I'm watching the season finale of The Great British Baking Show.
Now what?
These two shows have been the highlight of my week! Oh yeah, I have Game of Thrones now.
Jeez, you'd think I was kind of Anglophile.
I'm an American of German extraction by golly!

1 hour later…
9:14 AM
@ElendilTheTall Marco?

1 hour later…
10:24 AM
Hi Rummi.

hi @Jolenealaska, how are you?

Bawling

What happened?

The series end of Downton is killing me.

Oh, is it good?

10:26 AM
They are repeating it tonight.
<sniff>

I mean, is the series good, cinematically? I didn't mean to imply that something nice happened if it makes you cry.

Yes, I really do like it a lot.
This season rocked.

I've started watching a lot of series lately. Not exactly watching, I've been knitting a lot, and let them run, so it's more of listening to them.
But I haven't watched Downtown abbey. It was historical, right?

And what do you like most about it?

10:31 AM
It is now Christmas of 1924.
HMMM
It is very well written.
The costumes and sets are amazing.

"written" as in plot, or characters, or suspense curve?

All of the above.
The most fleshed-out character is played by Maggie Smith.

I somehow thought that it is older, not 1924
Haven't read/seen much about that epoch

It was!
That is where it is now:)

I'm afraid I don't know Maggie Smith. But I'm also mostly blind to actorship, so don't care much about the star list.

10:36 AM
It has aged faster than real time.

OK, so it is a family saga? Like Buddenbrocks?

Of course you know Maggie Smith!
Madam Professor Minerva McGonagall!

No I don't. Just looked her up on Wikipedia, haven't heard of most films she has been in.
@Jolenealaska I haven't watched the movies.

Harry Potter??

I read the books and didn't want to ruin the experience by watching the movies.

10:39 AM
Ok, but even so....
she's everpresent..
Ok, it kind of of makes sense not to know her.

No, I haven't seen any of these films.

Like not knowing Tom Cruise. What can I say?
If you are you... just know that she is very known and very beloved.

OK, noted.

I'm at work, won't be clicking any videos now

10:46 AM
When you can.
For real, if you don't know the name Maggie Smith, you can can catch up decades in minutes.

I'm going for lunch, see you later

11:53 AM
and I'm back

Just about the time I need to go to bed.
Do try to watch Ms Maggie when you get a chance.
She is precious!

OK, good night

G'night

4 hours later…
3:32 PM
good morning

3 hours later…
6:18 PM
its quiet - too quiet
