I promised to bring a cake to a large Couchsurfing potluck party
Decided on a Corriher recipe, because I trust her so much
and was disciplined enough to start a day early.
Well, the layer sunk in the middle so much that I barely managed to cut it in two (the recipe required it in 3)
the expensive chocolate icing (600 g of good chocolate!) split in the weirdest way
neither distempered nor seized, it just exuded most of its cocoa butter, melted
I had to save it with lecithine, hope it will hold
and now I burnt the nuts.
I am considering making it without the soaking syrup, just out of fear it will go wrong too.
I'm AFK for a while, buying walnuts
