It's six stanzas of six lines each, with each line ending in one of six words. Each stanza changes the order of the six words. Then it concludes with a triplet that contains all six words.

BUT I can focus enough to remember that I enjoyed your writing style and that you build your stories well, and I am liking the thought that I will read this tomorrow.

Point is, you see why you shouldn't care too much of my opinion at the moment.

I am absolutely intrigued with writing a sestina now too. Maybe not Batman.

Mostly because Batman has a repeated vowel, and somehow that's important.

mmm. If I were to write this, it'd be exploring Batman as a case study in the futility of effecting lasting change on a problem by using the tools which caused the problem.

It's rather sparse.

But it's a good goal. Hard to write well.

Mm. This novel's experimenting with an idea on how readers relate to a main character in fantasy stories.

@BESW I think that's a judicious and considered use of the mystique of Batman.

Namely, it's experimenting with a character who has no name at all.

Interesting.

In my most recent novel, I have a whole timeline where the protag is nameless, identified only by pronoun, to represent her utter loss of self.

@KitFox Well, the thoughtline on my end went like this: "How much do people actually relate to deliberately strange fantasy and sci-fi names? Do they mean anything, really?"

Your character doesn't seem to have this issue.

@KitFox Not this precise issue, no. It does relate to how she sees herself in relation to others. It also relates to a few other things that I don't want to spoil.

I assume they either are significant or not, very Boolean.

When my character is being professional, soldierly, or violent, the narrative text refers to her as "Codename: GARM"

But when she's being open, frightened, shy, or vulnerable, she's Carol

Also, I'M GARM, DESTROYER OF ALL THINGS GAUNTLET!

Garm Tyrslayer, Garm of the Fangs, who is chained in Niflheim and charged with ensuring that no member of the unworthy dead escapes the punishment due to their cowardice and betrayal.

Oh, that Garm.

And at the end of days, in the Twilight of the Gods, he is destined to slay the Evenhanded, Tyr, God of Justice, to avenge his father's imprisonment.

The current TMNT TV series has a similar visual cue: when its main characters are in hyper-competent ninja mode, their eyes go dead white. You can tell when something affects them strongly on a mission because their pupils snap back into place as they're shaken out of ninja mode and into teenager mode.
