Writers, I have a question, which I don't think I can ask on the main SE

Have you ever felt like you're losing your words? Not like a writers block, but the "right" words don't come to you anymore?

@MalharKhushu My writing vocabulary directly correlates to the media I consume; if I reduce (or even change) what I'm reading, my writing changes in response.

I need to keep the wiring fresh and active with new stimulus; if I rely on my writing habits to continue without maintenance, if doesn't really work for long.

(And sometimes I just need to step back and let things percolate, or to write around a phrasing block until I punch through it.)
