I was ordering some chili powders from a specialist site the other day and I impulse purchased long pepper. Now I teach my kids not to impulse buy and I'm usually pretty good about that myself, but it was £2 to I thought why not?

The only thing is I have no idea what to do with it!

Do I put it in a grinder and use it like regular peppercorns?

Well - we use it for herbal remedies so to us it tastes 'medicinal'

but lfolks report its more 'complex'

Ha! I guess I'll just have to try it. My usual way to get the taste of pepper is to put it in scrambled eggs.
