To anybody who had an SO Careers profile: beware of your privacy! Your Careers profile has been changed into a “Developer Story” (which sucks and may have bad data), and employers may now see a link to your SO profile even if they formerly didn't. To unlink, go to the “Developer Story” tag in your SO profile, hover over your avatar, click on the “Edit” button that appears and untick all the network sites. Then hover over the tags below, click “Edit”, and untick all the tags.

@Gilles My understanding was that if you created a Careers profile it was effectively public anyway. Is that not correct?
@paj28 it's certainly one of a very small number of main things, definitely

I wonder how many chat messages read something similar to: "Developer Story ... which sucks"
I just went to have a look at that thing
And yes, it looks pretty bad, with some line in the middle and things in a strange ordering
I liked to SO CV ;(
I hope they fix it, after all SE is pretty good at reacting when things do not work well
 
Well the CV thing is entirely unsuited to anyone with my background, so I never paid it that much attention after my initial play with it. And one quick look at the new version looked similarly unsuitable so I ignore it too:-)
