Taking a typing class in high school broke me of that habit. If the teacher saw you looking at your keyboard too much she would swap it out with one with blank keys.
Watching the look of supreme contentment of him hitting 105wpm was only made sweater when it completely melted in defeat when he looked over and saw my 117wpm.
@KnightOfNi I don't really need to, but generally that produces typo's because my finders are a few millimeters off and I mash two keys instead of the one I wanted
@KnightOfNi Are you typing in dvorak on a qwerty keyboard? That would drive me absolutely nuts.
well, either that or everything would come out like gibberish
Thanks. As i was writing that traffic is sent according to macs it popped in my head to test it. I was able to get the traffic without using monitor mode, but only after already authenticating. It makes me think there 'may' be a way to do it without using monitor mode, but realistically its not worth that pain.
Yeah i know...I just didn't feel like going through the effort of elaborating enough to make it a high quality post - which i know is what you were pushing for
@efesaid What do you think looks strange about it? Have you been setting up CloudFlare? Also, it would be better to copy your dump as a text somewhere. I'm not transcribing it, and I doubt anyone else will.
@Simon yeah if you have a shodan account he has a site that just shows screenshots grabbed from open systems. Loads of open logged in desktops, SCADA systems etc
@RoryAlsop :( not much happening on that front at the moment?
Reasons I am not rich - my case turned up yesterday, and it looks like the rest of my PC bits will turn up this afternoon. And the 4k monitors next week
@AviD heh if you want thick scottish brogue you should've been at the burnistoun show I was at last night.. my accent was definitely on the lighter side
@RoryAlsop ohhh nice. I was looking at that one (or some plebian variety). I want for the more spaciious and airy Corsair, on codinghorror's recommendation.
@RoryAlsop they did word for word versions of some of the more popular sketches from the show "nae rolls, voice activated elevator" which I felt were a bit flat (you knew what was coming) but other bits were v. funny
@RoryAlsop v.shiney case! you should see if you can get some orange neon lights for it.
@RoryAlsop one thing I loved about the Corsair that the antec didnt match, was cable management. little holes in the frame everywhere, and a whole area behind the main area for cables to run in and out.
I'm running latest gen Chrome (27) and preparing a demo that requires using a self-signed cert to support HTTPS on a local IIS website. The cert has been created with the correct common name for the website (good little guide here) and then added to the trusted root certs on the local machine.
I...
@Iszi before the whole thread was about 9-10 pages long, now it's 12 or something
@Iszi that one has a different problem ... if I'm only interested in TL;DR, should I still read the update or is the gist of it already included in the TL;DR
@DavidFreitag Just now nailed down what this reminds me of: That one American Dad episode, with "I'm getting fed up with this orgasm!" as a code phrase because it's something "nobody would ever say". (Interestingly enough, that's probably a true assumption but most likely not for the reasons you'd think - chances are, anyone who's "fed up with this orgasm" is still in the middle of it and so worn out by it that they wouldn't be able to form the words.)
See, you can practically never be "too young" to watch something because you could always be introduced to it by your parents. And older people aren't really too old to watch things too often, because it's always possible they have children who enjoy those things. But there is that little gap - the period of life where kid shows were coming out before you were old enough to have kids of an appropriate age - that some shows could fit in the space of those you're "too old" to watch.
So. @AviD and @DavidFreitag - I've definitely gone off Antec. The case is not great. Actually, no, the metalwork is lovely, but the internal cabling to front panel, front USB ports etc is terrible and there is no documentation that is readable
Also, making things more fun is the fact that all the EVGA documentation sucks - if you follow it you then have to undo a lot if what you have done in order to get the last cables in
Worst of all, the SSD is not usable on this board (actually I'm not sure how to use it at all as there is no port that would fit it so I'm going to Google for advice and if no explanation I'm returning that bit and going for a proper ssd
@RoryAlsop Nope, I think you misread that. Basically it downgrades the slots when you have multiple cards in. For a single card they will all work as x16.
@DavidFreitag I was thinking that what Rory has and what you think he has may not be the same thing :) , 'cause it sounds like the board you're describing doesn't match with what he's seeing....
If you are worried about it, just cover the x4 slot, I have never actually seen a x4 device. Besides that, a x4 device will work in a x16/x8 slot, they are all pin compatible.
@RoryAlsop I thought that from looking at the pic that the SSD went flat along the Motherboard as opposed to standing up from it, would it not go under the PCI cards?
