@JackDouglas Yes-if the OP agrees with it. It is a significant departure from his original question, and I'm not sure what his real question is. "Times of the Gentiles" vs "Fullness of the Gentiles" is a fair question, and one that is answerable-but I'm not sure what hermeneutic he wants to support.

I certainly don’t know the languages, and I may have some facts incorrect, but what bothers me, beyond brothers vs. cousins and John being called a “son” is not knowing where Jesus’ siblings were for the crucifixion or afterward. I’ve read that Jesus and his siblings didn’t necessarily get along too well and thought that must have been the case with Mary and her other children too. When Jesus talks from the cross he doesn’t say that John is to be “one of” h
