@user2479 Are you sure your source text is in unicode? If you use the texts available from the German Bible Society you should have no problems with copy/paste.

@AJHenderson Texas Instrument came out with the 1st calculator, it was nixie lights, slow for this generation, and cost $400; but it beat the Freiden calculators by a mile.

@AJHenderson I was driving a moving van with my brother-in-law through the Rockies-and I heard the whole thing. My generation was glued to the TV set when Kennedy was assassinated. The whole world stopped-just like 9/11.

@AJHenderson You probably didn't recall much of the Cold War-I flew up and down the coasts of some Communist Countries during that time.

I don't remember when he got it, it was a fairly early TI calc

he was a finance guy

so he tended to get computing toys fairly early for work

(back on the 9/11 thing) luckily I was a geek and so I was hanging out in the computer lab, which was right next to the media suite and the low paid aide there had enough sense to know it was a pivitol moment and told us to come watch, so I got about 2 hours of coverage and saw the towers come down before an administrator came down and kicked us out

they literally didn't say a bloody thing until dismissal and then only said that "something big had happened"

but I did my best to spread the news despite them suppressing it. Was one of the stupidest things my high school ever did I think

@AJHenderson My 9/11 story...I had worked all night at the now defunct Northwest Airlines, and slept through a mandatory training class. I had 'slip' leave starting that day, which meant I was going to stay home for 3 months. I didn't think much about it-until I saw 2 Korean 747's land one after another. They NEVER land at MSP. I came home, turned on the TV and watched the South Tower crash.

yeah, I was thankfully watching from shortly after the first crash all the way through to the second collapse, so despite my school's incompetence, I was not all that directly impacted

@AJHenderson I think they are still supressing information. Did you ever wonder why Building 7 collapsed-when the buildings on all 3 sides remained intact?

foundation crush from the direction of the fall. Even in High School, as soon as the first tower came down, we knew the second was coming down, just based on how it fell and if my understanding of where 7 was, it isn't surprising either

my friend and I that were there are both rather engineering minded, so we had our suspicions they would come down as soon as the second plane hit

@AJHenderson You should look it up. The reason they gave is some debris fell and somehow made it through an intact roof, igniting diesel fuel from a generator that had turned on but (supposedly) malfunctioned. It made a neat implosion-not affecting the buildings on the other 3 sides....

@AJHenderson The examiner who testified at the 9/11 hearings admitted it was a stretch, but they got rid of the structural steel immediately, so no one could refute it. When the 35W bridge collapsed, they kept the steel out in the open for 4 years, until well after the trial(and settlement).

@AJHenderson Anyway, it bears looking into-sometimes the best way to hide something is in plain view.
