@Dɑvïd Okay, so I have not come up with much, but maybe "a misplacement" or possibly even "solecism" (def. #2: "something deviating from the proper, normal, or accepted order").

Unless you want to adopt an Abenaki term, in which case I found this page that notes in the discussion of the geographical names that "wantas" means "a lost or misplaced thing." :-)
