@Soldarnal please don't hesitate to edit - I'm sure you'd be able to improve it.
@Davïd I pondered that too for a while - finally working it out
you can partly blame me for the confusion

@JackDouglas I would never dream of partly blaming you! :) (Interesting meta-meta)

I first read "R.J. Knowling" as "J.K. Rowling," and thought "What?" I think I need caffeine. — Frank Luke 29 mins ago
@FrankLuke - ha! :D You know, I had half a mind to put "[sic]" after that, because the possible confusion occurred to me, too. As info in ExGrkT vol. 2 says, R.J. Knowling was NT Professor at King's College London. Turns out he was quite prolific, too although none of his titles are in Archive.org. Wee shame, as his Acts commentary looks quite useful. They are found in Google Books, too. — Davïd 7 mins ago
^^^ The same happened to me. Ha, ha. :)

@PaulVargas lol. :) What's that saying? "Great minds think alike." Yeah, that's it!

^^^ What do you think? Is it a good book?

@PaulVargas I've used it to teach a couple of classes at my church. For the people who are interested in learning, it works great. For the people who just wanted to have their existing beliefs confirmed back to them, all the talk of 'genre' and 'culture' and such became confusing or upsetting. ("But if this part of the bible isn't literal, than none of it is literal, and you have no reason to believe in Jesus!")
