10:10 AM
@ThePhoton A IP-rating tester walks into a bar and the bartender asks what he wants. The tester piushes his finger up the bartender's nose.

Hm, I wonder how many people do use safety glasses when soldering...

@PlasmaHH I don't. In the professional PCB assembly houses, I've never seen girls use safety glasses when doing hand soldering.
@Li-aungYip I'm sure that's only the public/polite/sfw version of the joke.

@NickAlexeev after getting some solder into the eye I was just wondering if this was really just bad luck or should wear some

I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing safety glasses to solder.

There are electronics engineers who don't wear prescription glasses? 8)
@NickAlexeev: Don't ask what the IP68 testing engineer does

5:33 PM
@Li-aungYip what about the IP69 tester? ^^

@PlasmaHH I didn't even know IP69 was a thing

@Li-aungYip clearly you dont get out often ^^

at IP68 you can already point a high-pressure water cleaner at it and it won't care

with IP69 you usually only get a little wet... and sticky...

@Li-aungYip The test I'm thinking of isn't about water resistance, it's about making sure someone can't poke their finger through a hole in the enclosure and get it whacked by a fan blade or contact a high-voltage circuit. But I guess the joke still works.
