@jippie good night

@W5VO night

Hi guys
guys, is there any device to see radio wave?

2:47 PM
mornin all

Roh
@W5VO you mean morning?

@Roh I mean "Good morning and salutations to all fine visitors to this room", translated into the vernacular as "mornin all"

Roh
@W5VO Uh-ha
I got it
guys, I have a C code but I'm mixed up for a part
this is the code:// UART driver
// This project only uses it for debugging purposes

#define BAUD 76800

#include <avr/io.h>
#include <util/setbaud.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include "common.h"
#include "drivers/uart.h"

#if UART_ENABLE

static int put(char, FILE*);

FILE uart_io = FDEV_SETUP_STREAM(put, NULL, _FDEV_SETUP_WRITE);

void uart_init()
{
// Pullup on RXD (already done in main init()?)
pinPullup(D0, PULLUP_ENABLE);

pinMode(D1, OUTPUT);

UBRR0 = UBRR_VALUE;
#if USE_2X
UCSR0A = _BV(U2X0);
I don't know that why he used "void" near a variable
I mean this:
(void)(stream)

// Get rid of unused variable warning

Roh
@W5VO yeah but I don't know how it's works

Hey guys, we have a question on Physics that has been suggested for migration to EE. I'm not sure if it would be suitable for you, but if it would be, let me know and I'll send it over.

Q: Why can computer circuits recognise only two states?

J.Smith.JJJComputers can only understand binary (that is 0s or 1s). I want to know Is there any way that computers can understand more than 2 states. I know that It is much harder to build components that use more than two states/levels/whatever. Of course If we have more than two states we would be able ...

6:37 PM
@DavidZ Just a personal opinion, I think it is more suited to EE than to Physics. :-)

7:12 PM
Hey, does anyone know if there's a company selling those tiny USB connectors like the one used in/for this usb stick (in small amounts of course)?
I'm considering to buy one of them just to disassemble it but meh, I'd prefer something I don't have to disassemble first (and I don't need any memory, I just want a very-low-profile connector to get 5V power from a USB port)

8:03 PM
countless sources of those are available online

8:52 PM
thanks! that's exactly what i was looking for.

9:12 PM
is there such techniques as background normalization?
like say the noise floor can change between uses of a sensor and it must know how much of its signal was noise

9:54 PM
@EwokNightmares What kind of sensor?
