Ha, the Microsoft ICE panorama stitching software has upgraded in February :)
Testing it now, or rather test it once I install it first.. :)

5x3 matrix stitched together with ICE2
I did not quite fall in love with this new version of ICE though.

Cool, trick number 5 on here looks handy if you have access to the right version of photoshop: improvephotography.com/8806/photography-tricks

8:07 PM
@JamWheel Aye, that's cool and allright :)
Then again, I'm here in Finland... There ain't too much people here anyway :D

haha
i'd never heard of that

could be very useful for when I am trying to get photos of old aircraft on the ground and there are too many people around
although I rarely have a tripod with me at airshows
how's the leg?

Just finished a set of photos of another church. I'm sending them to a pagemaster who manages a facebook page for all Finnish churches. Though not all of them yet on the page, but slowly getting there :)
^ all of the churches, I mean.
Leg's a leg, no worries. It keeps pace with the other leg, so I don't have to pull it to places all the time ;)

hah
so
i might have bought a new toy
which is resulting in me needing to sell a few bits and probably will need a better tripod
@EsaPaulasto an interesting thing to document, what are the churches like architecturally in Finland? Are you producing catalogue style shots or can you put any artistic flare into it?

8:29 PM
@JamWheel Catalogue-style..

@EsaPaulasto i see, are they quite modern buildings in general or do you have some older ones?

Those three are from the same church, done today.
Oldest churches are from 14th century or thereabouts
And yeah, the page accepts some odd lighting as well, like this evening shot :)

ah cool
i really like older church buildings, we have a lot in the UK. i'm not religious at all but i find the older architecture fascinating

I just like the perfect subject that looks nice and does never run away no matter how long I take to click it ;)

this is an old photo i took of our local 12th century church

8:40 PM
And also this thing, that I like to shoot photos, but sometimes run out of ideas. Those are the times that I take a look on a list of churches, and try to find one that has not yet been photographed, and is not too far away from my current location.

a more recent shot in the snow

@JamWheel The church looks nice. So you don't mind the perspective vanishing point being above the church?
nevermind, a matter of choice, naturally :)

just messing around with a different angle

Yeah, and it is allright. I just got caught up with my personal preferences for a moment..

hah - it is a weird angle, a bit wide too

8:47 PM
well... yeah :)
g2g, thanks for the chat, JamW :)

like i said, it was a long time ago :) no worries
see you later
