@ThunderFrame Dumb tier 1. What if they just told them they pulled the power cable?

Tier 1?

@Hosch250 IKR, but there are users that think they know everything, and in reality only know enough to be dangerous.
Tier 1 support - aka the helpdesk
telephone support in Bangalore or Manila. Bad English, bad advice, read from a script.

@Hosch250 I finished all the operators. Still trying to internalize => aka "Lambda declaration"

Don't worry about that one, it's hard.

I guess it's a bit like a doctor admitting himself to hospital. He probably knows what's wrong, but has to see the triage nurse and have his vitals taken before he can see a doctor.

I have a power user in my office. Refuses to use Option Explcit, deploys code that doesn't compile. Blames VBA.

@ThunderFrame The doctors that I worked with, any time they had a doctor as a patient they'd get him/her out as fast as they could. Even to the point of delaying other patients...

@ThunderFrame So do I.
It shouldn't be an option.
BTW, wouldn't a real power user use Option Explicit?

@Hosch250 Only those that don't trust themselves.

@Hosch250 yep, sorry, forgot the air-quotes: "power user"

Q: Retrieving database values through properties

Kostas K.I have a “Settings” table which I make frequent DlookUp calls to retrieve values. So I thought instead of having to write Nz(DLookup("FieldName", "TableName", "Condition"), vbNullString) everytime I needed the value, why not wrap it in a property in a standard module. Public Property Get ActiveK...
