Unix/LInux has a lot of people who know about programming in a unix environment. So if the issue is one related to Unix, they'd be likely to find an answer. But if it's something depending on the MacOS modification to a "regular" unix, then Ask Different is more likely to be able to help you. I'd probably start with Unix/Linux, but I can't promise that it's the right place.
