I come across this article anturis.com/blog/nginx-vs-apache, where he says "nginx can compile PHP code directly", which gives me the hint that nginx can use php without fastcgi. Is that true?

@AndrewSmith ServerFault is unfortunately just like any other site on the internet, the cluefull are vastly outnumbered by the clueless. The cluefull get bored, move on, the rest is history repeating itself ad nauseum.
