@Ramhound The point is that Google depends on the trust of its users. If Google cannot be trusted to be a safe steward of users' data, people will take their business elsewhere. This is why Google has been pushing the envelope on cryptography ever since the PRISM scandal.
Chrome is very, very aggressive when it comes to security. Google is probably doing this for business reasons: if it can't secure user data against government actors, users will lose their faith in Google very quickly. Hence, Google considers establishing itself as a leader in Internet privacy a top priority, despite the fact that its ad-based business model utterly relies on user behavioral tracking. @DragonLord that's basically how I feel. it's unfortunate that Google has painted an enormous target on their backs saying "HACK ME" now that they have so much data collected on people... everyone who has a reason to want lots of personal data, browsing habits, search terms, etc. is gonna go out of their way to get to that data.

No; There isn't; There are specific functionality and settings you can only adjust in that application so that's like asking how you can disable control panel. You can prevent a user from changing their settings but launching the application itself can't be blocked — Ramhound36 mins ago

@bwDraco Apparently it's better now, but the AI in AotS was ridiculous and the campaign ... difficult. I gave up some 4 missions in and only play a bit of multiplayer now.

@allquixotic I hate RTS. All that wandering the map clicking on things quickly. Plus I've always been terrible at them, just like checkers and chess; never won a game in my life. ever. And monopoly, fun in theory, but in practice It's just an hour long game involving me losing and not understanding why

@ThatBrazilianGuy I get called out often (and have been disciplined several times by Father, in some cases blowing up big-time) for being rather dumb. One of the issues holding me back from being more independent is my poor ability to think flexibly. Perhaps spending some time on AotS will help...

Why there are these vertical lines when watching video on youtube? It only comes in youtube. It i suing HTML5 Player, and this comes too often, so every video on youtube is unwatchable.
@4-K Update video drivers. Turn off hardware acceleration. And provide history (when did this start happening? Was it working before? What changed since then, e.g. browser update?)
When something is broken: don't go "it's broken". Don't even go "It's broken, see screenshot". Go "It's broken, see screenshot, I think it was because of X because X was the last thing I did since it was last working"
@4-K So. Try downloading the old version to see if that fixes it. Then try updating again and see if it breaks again.
If it does: congrats. You've discovered a browser bug. If you can report the bug with the last working and first broken version, hopefully they can fix the bug.
hello I updated GPU to windows 10 one. But when I open one video of about 4K resolution it is very laggy but when I do same in Linux it is not laggy at all. And the video was not laggy when this PC had windows 8 and assassins creed is also laggy :( but it was not earlier? what to do next?
