I know what you mean. Normally, I do put a lot of work in my answers. Work in to the research, reference, grammar, spelling, and format for any of my questions.

the only advice I can give you is, when you're in doubt if your solution will work, it's probably not a good idea to post it

as trying out a wrong solution is a bad user experience ;)

Before this week would only post questions at SO related to web development. Now, that I some extra time on my hand I help out on SU but only post questions on SO since I am out of my league there. @studiohack

Or, like I commented on meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/60295/… : Does replacing the spam text with something like Deleted spam pending removal (before the post is deleted by a moderator) bother you in this process?

(Like you would then have to go into the revision history to see the patterns. I already figured that, when replacing the title, it should still stand out to ensure others flag it too. Like "Delete me" might not been seen, while "FLAG ME, I'M SPAM" might stand out better?)

(Indeed, I am not awaiting your answer on my first "Is it okay.." ;-)

As for celebrating Sinterklaas: all I do is send folks SMS text messages with Sinterklaas or some specific Piet as the sender (rather than a phone number). That leaves the recipient completely oblivious of who sent it :-)
