In theory wear levelling should mean that each write to one filesystem sector should not be writing to the same flash memory sector, at least that was my understanding...
lol, basically the same answers posted 2 minutes apart:
I installed pysdm through this article
auto-mount-your-ntfs-partition-in-ubuntu
to auto-mount my ntfs drives.
My drive structure looks like this:
jatin@jatin-ubuntu:/media$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda8 18G 12G 5.5G 68% /

<sacasm on> I love Java, it's such a joy to use, the updater works a treat and there's no malware trying to exploit the not-bug-ridden-nightmare <sarcasm off>
I regularly get a pointless little balloon in the bottom corner telling me it needs updating, clicking said balloon results in an updater that when told to continue fails horribly complaining that something failed, meaning either a security-hole ridden system or a trip to the control panel to tell it to update manually...
@Linker3000 Consistancy I like, my computer teasing me that it is about to make SuperBuggySoft slightly less buggy then failing to do so I like a bit less.
A couple of questions / answer here on meta state that reaching a flag weight of 750 should be pretty hard, if not nearly-impossible:
Flag weight gold badge for 750? says:
Warning: the flag weight scale beyond
500 is not, shall we say.. linear?
And What's the flag weight formula in th...
Hmmm... I think I may have to build myself an entire computer out of old bits just to use a serial port - I don't have a single computer with serial, nor a USB->Serial dongle to hand...
If you haven't read it, get a copy and read it. Not just for the spy thriller aspect, but it gives a real insight into the computing back in the late 70's
You can't. You simply cannot run just a Mac app in a VM without installing OS X. Installing OS X in a VM is also against the Mac OS X Software License Agreement where it is stated:
"you are granted a limited non-exclusive license to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on ...
Howdy, re: superuser.com/questions/261361/… I've a little difficulty in formatting it as I want it. I have the number bullet, then an indented paragraph but then i want some indented code (the 'command="/path/to/executable argument" ssh-rsa key name' bit) but cannot make it work. Any suggestions?
Its annoyingly similar to a problem with moinmoin markup I often have. Also... my link above wasn't shiny :-(
@MarkSzymanski Thanks, I guess that's closer. Still 'not quite' like normal code blocks (the blue line on left etc.) but now its back to using 'correct' markup that's all that matters! :-D
Currently use Chrome, but thinking of going back to Firefox.
@MarkSzymanski However, the latest version is MUCH better, but like Firefox pulled me away with a killer feature, there isn't any killer feature to get me back over!
The raw number of votes is increasing, so I think what you're seeing is either:
Even though there are more users, they are hitting the 30 vote/day cap.
People are not seeing as many % of the posts as they used to be and what they are seeing is of declining quality (partially supported by the fa...
@studiohack Yes, but that's kind of my point. It moves them closer to 'mod' status if what they think should happen gets done before other users' thoughts.
You have to be more patient. Perhaps take the time to improve your question. Add details like what version of your OS, and the architecture. Try testing in safe mode, and report if it works there. Try disabling any add-ons..
@TheAdamGaskins Delete and reinstall your printer or check for updated drivers. As a check you could also delete all printers and add a safe generic one such as an HP LaserJet 4 and see what happens. Crashes in the Page Layout section are often related to printers/printer drivers.
