hello, I am looking for a lightweight variant of ubuntu, to run some packages which do not run on my platform; so essentially I will run that variant in a virtual machine; I am looking at Xubuntu and Lubuntu? which one should I choose?
My install of Ubuntu + codecs + KDE + unity + git + MonoDevelop + PyQT + ruby + rails takes about 4gigs, so you should be fine.

Thought my Ubuntu install took 8G+, but amazingly it's half of that.

iam unable to send message to other computers which are connected through a TP link router. we acn share files bu can not send msg through msg commnad. it just shows msg to my laptop only.

i like Notepad++ because it is quick to start up, can support many languages, and it can even match a <div> with the </div> so that you can check when a <div> is matching the correct closing </div>...
but it seems like it is missing the feature of having a left side panel of folder a...
hmm; maybe... will be a bit harder to use than what i'd like, but if i can't find what i want...
my "top-level" need is to get around some code written by other people, and there's a bunch of interoperating functions there, and I'd like to be able to easily switch between their bodies

I am trying to get in to podcasts a bit - I want to listen to the Stack Overflow one - is there anyway to download them all easily? I looked on Itunes but it only shows the last 10 (I am guessing RSS limit or something)
I like podcasts now, but I want to listen to many from the start (I know it will take me ages to catch up!) but it just seems annoying that many don't allow older than the RSS feed
Even if I did manually download them (Which apart from wasting a bit of time, I am fine with), is there any way to actually import them to a podcast list.. at the moment, I think I am going to have to do as MP3 and just as a song... seems annoying :(
