@LeeWoofenden Close votes age away, so if you VTC and it doesn't get closed, then eventually your vote doesn't count anymore, but you still voted, so you can't vote again.

@El'endiaStarman Some people don't know how to screen shot. Worse, some people don't know how to just save an image, so they screen shot it and don't even bother to crop it.

@El'endiaStarman Yes. Although the message I got made it sound like eventually I would be able to vote again.
And incidentally, responding to a comment of yours that somebody starred and that's therefore now at the top of the starred comments, I did not imply that all rednecks are Trump supporters, nor do I think that. I spoke of a particular type of person at a Trump rally being an example of a redneck of the sort that might beat up a transgender person in a bathroom. It's a classic leap of logic from that to "all rednecks are Trump supporters."
It would also be a leap of logic from that to "all rednecks would beat up a transgender person in a bathroom."
To use another charged example, lots of Palestinian youth throw rocks at Israeli soldiers, to the extent that if someone is throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers, there's a very high probability that it is a Palestinian youth doing it. That, however, does not mean that all Palestinian youth throw rocks at Israeli soldiers. Nor does it mean that no one else ever throws rocks at Israeli soldiers. Just that if someone's going to do it, it's most likely going to be a Palestinian youth.

@El'endiaStarman When you close vote expires you can vote again, unless the question was actually closed, or you manually cancelled your close vote

@curiousdannii Flimzy regularly can't VTC years-old questions. I've been assuming that he VTC'd them years ago as well.

@fredsbend Yes, I do. And in fact, I believe the bathroom bills will actually increase the likelihood of bathroom violence as rednecks take the laws as a licence to taunt and attack transgender people in bathrooms.

@fredsbend You know what I mean. The sort of people who hang around at Trump rallies and sucker punch protesters.
The use of "rednecks" here comes across to me very much like the use of "liberals" (in connection with their stupidity) by some of my conservative Facebook friends. Now that I think about it, I do have a few liberal Facebook friends who would use "redneck" in much the same way.

@El'endiaStarman And your liberal Facebook friends probably use the word "conservative" with the same general implications with which your conservative Facebook friends use the word "liberal": as an epithet for people who are too stupid to realize that we liberals are the smart (and compassionate) ones.
"Conservatives" are people who don't care that children are starving and dying in Africa, you know . . .
And "liberals" are people who think you can make people good at the point of a (government) gun.

@LeeWoofenden I've actually rarely seen "conservative" used in the same way. It's weirdly asymmetric.

@El'endiaStarman Liberals use related words, like "fundamentalist" and "redneck" when they want to be pejorative. But conservatives are seen by many liberals as unintelligent, unenlightened, and heartless.
For example, the rhetoric against Trump by the protesters goes far beyond anything he actually said. Even his "rapists" comment, as obnoxious, inflammatory, and wrong as it was, was aimed at illegal immigrants, not at Mexicans in general--a distinction that the protesters rarely make.

That is indeed the perception of some/many liberals. Sadly so.
