@Anonymous What kind of reincarnation do you believe in?

@PaulVargas Actually, I just hold a simpler form of reincarnation: that I will become conscious in a new life, but that new life has no relationship to the previous life, and I would be unaware of my previous life. My form of "reincarnation" is pretty personal.
@PaulVargas No.
@PaulVargas That is pretty funny, but I think the comic exactly portrays the misunderstandings that some people have when it comes to the biblical interpretation. Some people assume that the Bible is a book of dogmatic law code ("Do this, and you will go to heaven"), even though the Bible is more than just dogmatic law code. As a matter of fact, the Bible has stories written all over in it.

I mean to say, the parables of Jesus are narratives. So, why do some people interpret the demonic suicidal swine as religious dogma to the extent that is what people believe in and if you don't believe in it, you will go to hell? I don't think that's what parables are about.
When people read classical literature, people can read them like entertainment, but I think they are more than just pure entertainment. Stories are meant to make a point about some characteristic of life, teaching people what it means to be human. This sort of teaching is NOT laying down dogma. Likewise, why do some people always interpret biblical stories as if they are laying down dogma?
