@emgee I got alerted that you deleted a bunch of your own posts. Any specific reason?

I still have ongoing concerns about Ramhound's comments. I found this during my routine patrol of the review queues:
That isn't going to happen. I only help everyone by attempting to answer your question on this website or I help nobody if it can only be done in private.Ramhound 9 hours ago
> Sorry, but I can't help you in private. Please expand upon your question so that it can be migrated to Stack Overflow, and the community there will help you.

I am trying to install Android x86 and when I boot to it, it has the grub> prompt. It's Grub 1.99 but I made a menu.lst and i think that's for grub legacy.
Sorry, just read desc. Will take this elsewhere.

@kprovost7314 prolly on topic in ra or su

@DragonLord Don't see anything harsh about that comment. Other than the bold. That bold is heavy

Just to avoid confusion, the second comment is how I would have written it.

Wouldn't migrate either way. They first already asked it on SO

@random I don't usually check for a cross-post, but my initial vote to close was for migration.
As one of the eldest mods here, I suppose there are lots of things you get that I overlook
Anything to teach? Any extra procedures I should take during routine reviews?
(Like the check for plagiarism on suggested edits)
I normally read the post and any comments, then take action based on the information.
I may occasionally check answers to a question, other answers, etc. but I don't typically do this unless the post is borderline.

Don't rush. That's most of it

@random Is it worth doing a cross-post check every time I consider voting for migration?
I know this isn't a huge deal for us normal reviewers, but it matters for moderators because mod votes are binding
What the heck, I think I'm being a hypocrite

Treat every review and every problematic post you encounter as if your responses and actions had the impact of a full ♦moderator.
My apologies to anyone adversely impacted by the erroneous migration (even though nhinkle was the one who performed the migration)
Do note that I do check suspected spam posts carefully before flagging and will not blindly flag anything as spam
@random This absolutely needs to be pinned. I have to stop reviewing close votes five seconds apart from each other.

3:34 AM
If you're voting to migrate to Stack Overflow or Server Fault, chances are they've been cross posted

@random Is there any more important information you've learned during your tenure that I'm missing?

They may refill the bucket of lollies and chocolate every hour, but that's not to be taken as a challenge

I just think I'm being far too overzealous doing community moderation work. These mistakes are not tolerable for much longer.

Also, save at least $10 a week. It's not much now, but it'll be something next week. $9.98 depending on inflation

In general, what are your thoughts on my recent work?

3:40 AM
Like watching a politician hit the stumps hard and waiting for the flame out

@random I don't get what you mean.

You're in some kind of "full on" election mode setting. And time is just on the other side waiting to see when you're going to snap from stressing yourself out

I'm just trying to do my part clearing the close queue to the extent I can.

That's good and helpful, but the messages you keep repeating in here suggest it's killing you

@random I just see it as my duty as a 10k+ user.
The community must play its role in moderation. I'm just participating to the degree I can.

@JourneymanGeek I'm very sorry to say that your fears have come true. I cannot contribute at my full pace any longer and may retire from Stack Exchange completely within the next few months.
Had a brief scare

I'll try to commit at least 30 minutes every day whenever I can
That "30 minutes" has ballooned into 3+ hours every day for the last week

Why do you not have an offline hobby?

I have an Xbox 360 controller next to my laptop, which I would normally use to play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but I haven't picked it up in over a week
I think I'm getting obsessed about Super User and this is just not healthy.
The reviews don't take much time, and I don't need to do the 40 in one shot.
Gotta go in a moment, see ya tomorrow.

4:34 AM
@DragonLord: Yeah you are.

@JourneymanGeek is that supposed to be in response to a specific message?

;p
@nhinkle: MOST of them?
(That's to say, the super obsession, the reminders about burning out and....)

Sorry for all this
I'll just slow down a bit
I definitely do not want the moderator team to be worried about burning out
The number of starred messages about this issue is not good and I don't want to risk a moderator warning

4 hours later…
4:23 PM
I'll relax a bit
I'll continue to do the rounds but slow down a bit and not worry about becoming a mod as an election isn't happening within the next few months
I cannot risk a suspension because I refuse to slow down as requested by mods and make more mistakes that hurt the community
@random is entirely correct about snapping from stressing myself out. If this happens, and I stop contributing or (worse yet) get warned or suspended for making too many mistakes during routine community moderation activities, I've ruined my Stack Exchange career for good.
I am not letting this happen.
I realize that with all these recent comments about burnout that I am in very real danger of a suspension and will slow down the pace of contributions.

@DragonLord as a bit of advice: Nothing that you volunteer your own personal free time for should leave you feeling obligated, worn out or as if you have to dedicate the time to it.
Have fun with it.

With fixer1234 now qualified to vote to close, the close queue seems to be under control and has fallen below 1000 for the first time in a week.
