@Tester101 -- sidenote re: MC -- you can now get what's called type MCI-A cable (Southwire calls it MCAP(tm))

4:17 AM
@Tester101 -- what it is is a type of MC cable that uses a full-size bare ground wire in contact with the armor
so the end result is similar to old school BX -- the armor effectively becomes the grounding path without having to make wire/strip connections to it, but it's much beefier than BX or AC in that regard

@Shalvenay sure, but it has a grounding conductor built in. Old school "BX" did not. And it sounds like the OP is talking about the ungrounded stuff.

@Tester101 yeah -- 'twas just a sidenote for future reference

Never seen that before. Is this a new feature?
"Trivial answer converted to comment". What the @#%$!
Also... On the question I linked to, I wrote a big long thing, did a bunch of research, quoted from code, and UL. And the OP accepts his own two sentence answer.
What!? If you were just going to ask the inspector, why didn't you do that in the first place!?
Why wasn't that converted to a comment as a trivial answer?

@Tester101 It's been around a long time. If the post is short enough and contains a link to the same site it gets converted
