by the way "Pourquoi se servir de là-bas plutot que y?", is that ok?
i asked Alexis Pigeon that under some question, not sure if it's phrased naturally

5:47 AM
@Aerovistae J'y vais, je vais là-bas par exemple ? Dans ce cas y est le pronom personnel qui remplace là-bas (adverbe). I gather it might sound weird to an English native because in English there's only word: there.

6:27 AM
No, no, I understand that
I'm asking literally about my phrasing of the sentence
the sentence with se servir, quoted above

7:14 AM
@Aerovistae, oui ta phrase est correcte. On pourrait aussi répéter la préposition "Pourquoi se servir de là-bas plutôt que de y"?

@user128932 I can give you my own opinion on the so-called Pimsler system. it's crap. We do not learn, we can't learn a second language as we have learnt our mother tongue.

8:01 AM
Well there are ways learn without translating everything.
